Habitat – Native to tropical Southeast Asia, but it is cultivated in various tropical and subtropical regions around the world.

Habit – Small to medium-sized evergreen tree that typically grows to a height of 6 to 9 meters. It has a spreading canopy and a short trunk.DBH is about 15 cm.

Bark – Smooth and grayish-brown when the tree is young, becoming darker and rougher with age.

Leaves – Alternate, pinnate, and compound, typically measuring 15 to 20 centimeters (6 to 8 inches) in length. Each leaf consists of 5 to 11 oblong or ovate leaflets that are glossy green in color and arranged opposite to each other along the leaf axis.
