အပင်သရုပ် – ချုံပင်မျိုးဖြစ်၍ ၂ မီတာခန့်မြင့်သည်။ ပင်လယ်ရေမျက်နှာပြင်မှ အမြင့်ပေ ၁၅၀၀ မီတာအမြင့်ရှိသော ရွက်ကြွေတောများနှင့် အမြဲစိမ်း တောများတွင် ပေါက်ရောက်သည်။ တစ်ပင်တည်း ပေါက်ရောက်သော အပင်အမျိုးအစားဖြစ်သည်။ ပင်စည်အမြင့် ၁-၆ မီတာခန့်မြင့်၍ အကျယ် ၂၅ စင်တီမီတာခန့်ရှိသည်။
အခေါက် – ပင်စည် အောက်ခြေတွင် အရွက်ဖတ်များဖြင့် ဖုံးအုပ်တည်ရှိသည်။
အရွက် – အရွက်သည် အစိမ်းရောင်ရှိပြီး များသောအားဖြင့် (၃-၅) ရွက်ခန့် စုပေါင်းတည်ရှိပြီး အလျား ၁.၅-၄ စင်တီမီတာ၊ အနံ ၀.၈-၂.၅ စင်တီ မီတာ၊ အရှည် ၁-၅ မီလီမီတာခန့်ရှိသည်။
ပန်းခိုင် – ပန်းခိုင်သည် အဝါရောင်ရှိ၍ ထောင်မတ်စွာတည်ရှိသည်။ များသော အားဖြင့် အရွက်ဖတ်များအတွင်းတွင် ဖုံးကွယ်လျက်ရှိသည်။
အသီးနှင့်အစေ့ – အစေ့တစ်စေ့သာ ပါဝင်ပြီး အသားထူသည်။ ရင့်မှည့်သောအခါ လိမ္မော်ရင့်ရောင်မှ အနက်ရောင်သို့ ပြောင်းသွားသည်။
ပွင့်သီးချိန် – မေလမှ ဩဂုတ်လအထိ ဖြစ်သည်။
အသုံးဝင်မှု – အရွက်များကို ဖျာ၊ ခြင်းတောင်းများ၊ တံမြက်စည်းများ ယက်လုပ်ခြင်း၊ အသီးကို စားသုံးကြသလို ဆေးဘက်ဝင်အပင်အဖြစ်လည်း အသုံးပြုကြ သည်။

Habitat – Pakistan, India, Nepal,, Bangladesh, southern China, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines.
Habit – A stout shrub, up to 2m. Grows in deciduous and evergreen forests and in clear terrain from sea level to an altitude of 1,500 m.
Bark – Solitary and clustering plants with trunks from 1-6 m high and 25 cm in width, usually covered in old leaf bases.
Leaves – The leaves reach 2 m in length with leaflets wide at the base and sharply pointed apices. The leaflets emerge from the rachis at varying angles creating a stiff, plumose leaf.
Flower – Erect, yellow inflorescences, usually hidden within the leaf crown.
Fruit And Seed – A single-seeded drupe, bluish-black when ripe.
Flowering and Fruiting Time – May – August
Usage – The plant is commonly harvested from the wild for local use of its leaves which are woven into mats, baskets etc. and used as brushes. The plant is also a minor local source of food and has medicinal uses.
