Habitat – Tropical Southeast Asia; Especially Karen State of Myanmar is a plant that is accepted as the original region.
Habit – t is a medium-sized plant with a height of 30 to 50 feet. The trunk is straight and covered with leaves. About 3 feet long, The brown feather-shaped leaves are arranged horizontally.
Bark – When the plant is young, it has a brownish-gray color. As it ages, the bark becomes furrowed, scaly, and darkens in color.
Leaves – It is a type of pinnately compound leaf. There are 5-7 leflets and brownish-green foliage, which hangs together, creates an attractive sensation of beauty.
Inflorescence – Drooping terminal inflorescence and has many flowers, and the exotic position of the inflorescence is a unique characteristic of the Thawkagyi tree.
Flower – The flowers, with red petals tipped with yellow, are borne singly on long, drooping peduncles, zygomorphic.
Fruit And Seed – It is a fruit capsule type.
