Habitat – Native to Bangladesh, Cambodia, China South-Central, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam.

Habit – Medium-sized to large tree with a height that can reach up to 30 meters (approximately 98 feet). The tree is known for its valuable hardwood, and it has been heavily exploited for its timber.

Bark – Typically brownish-gray and can be fissured or scaly.

Leaves – Pinnately compound, consisting of several pairs of leaflets. Each leaflet is lanceolate or elliptical in shape, and they are arranged alternately along the leaf axis.

Inflorescence – Typically a raceme or panicle. It bears clusters of small flowers along the inflorescence.
